About Us

I (the owner of the company) grew up in a one, well it's two now, stop light town named Platteville, CO.  I'm a third generation Colorado farmer.  My parents still have the farm and grow produce and sell it locally.  I am very proud of my agricultural background and know that many of the things that make me successful in business came from that upbringing.  Yes, I played in irrigation ditches as a kid.  Yes, I learned to drive a McCormick Super C tractor at like 7 years old.  Yes, I had blue heelers growing up.  I know first hand how devastating hail can be and still wince when I see a hammerhead cloud.  

20 years ago, I left the farm in search of a "normal" job.  After figuring out that farming made me just a little too independent, hard-willed, and entrepreneurial to work for corporate America, I started my own company over 10 years ago.  I still help my parents on the produce farm when I have time.  Every year in the spring time, I start itching to smell fresh tilled dirt.  I used to be embarrassed of the dirt that seemed permanently embedded under my fingernails, but now I realize just how rare it really is.  I know that being in Ag is a lifestyle, not an occupation.

Ironically, I got into telecom and one of the companies I work with has a product that is designed to provide internet service where "normal" internet can't.  I've watched their marketing and advertising over the years miss the mark over and over again.  

I have asked them over and over again, "Do you even speak farmer?  Do you understand farming or ranching?  What do you know about AG?"
